Mpho Mphahlele is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She holds a BSc Degree in Biotechnology (majoring in Biochemistry and Genetics) from the University of Pretoria, which is well known for its contributions towards Research and Development in the country. Her teaching career began when she volunteered to teach Mathematics, English and ran workshops that focused on community sustainability for an SEGL partner organization called the Mamelodi Initiative. She then moved to Guangdong Shenzhen, China, where she taught English for two years. She currently serves as Dean of Students and teaches Precalculus and Isi-Zulu for SEGL in Johannesburg.
