Alvin Fridie teaches science at SEGL in DC. Before joining SEGL, Alvin spent ten years teaching at the New School of Northern Virginia, a small independent school in Fairfax County. He has also worked at two charter schools in Washington, DC. He earned his BA in Physics with Honors from Rutgers University, where he won the Mary Wigner Memorial Scholarship for excellence in Physics. Following his work at Rutgers, he studied Biophysics for ten years at the University of Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in education at American University. He is the recipient of several teaching grants.
